If Randy Crawford was a car, she would be a fully loaded Lexus. Compiling a best-of album by Crawford is easy, you simply make sure you include "Street Life" and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," then you pick at least 12 more songs from her array of albums; any 12, it doesn't matter which ones you choose cause she doesn't make bad tracks; everything she does is first class. Recent Crawford best-ofs omit "Cigarette in the Rain," and this one doesn't have "Give Me the Night" or "Your Precious Love," but makes up for the omissions with sterling renditions of "Rainy Night in Georgia" and "I Stand Accused" -- a wash. Crawford's remarkable voice croons, caresses, teases, and pleases on 18 gems, four more than you'll find on The Best of Randy Crawford. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
