This compilation of Gilberto Santa Rosa focuses on the two orchestras he worked in prior to embarking on a solo career: the Tommy Olivencia Orchestra ("Como Sube la Gasolina" and "Rumba a los Santos") and the Willie Rosario Orchestra. Both bands were instrumental in the development of the talented singer. In these tunes he is a first-rate improviser, as both bands explode with uncompromising swing.
